Lloyds Bank

48 High St, Suffolk, Newmarket CB8 8LF, UK – 0345 300 0000

Located on the high street in Newmarket, the main entrance isn't wheel chair accessible, however there is wheelchair access via the rear of the building. There is a cash machine on the high street. The staff are friendly and helpful although they seem under stress to get through the queues as quickly as possible. Staff are promoting customers to use iPad instead of using counters, seems counter productive in my opinion.

Can sometimes be very busy a few more staff would be helpful at these times I’ve had and I never ever had a problem normally just use the paining machine.

49 High St, Newmarket CB8 8NP, UK – 0800 554 0651

Atm is great. Didn't charge me any fees and took my new Zealand card. Cash came out in smaller notes 👌

53 High St, Newmarket CB8 8NF, UK – 0345 740 4404

I do all my banking on a Saturday morning, through the automated machines and printing receipts. No counter service which is fine as the automation does all that I need, but when difficulties have occurred on specific or additional activities I want, staff on site are informative and get me going to what I wished to do.

Baxter's Family Dental

Wellington House, 96-, 98 High St, Newmarket CB8 8JX, UK – 01638 560406

After years of struggling through life with crooked and broken teeth , not to mention loosing a few along the way , you can imagine that visiting a dentist was a big deal for me . (Think Jeremey Kyle Show! ) I managed to get booked in quickly and efficiently by the friendly staff , and was called to see Dr Lee . Bear in mind the last time I visited a dentist was about 30 years ago .... Dr Lee put me at ease , explained everything , and today I had my follow up visit . 6 teeth extracted quickly , efficiently and painlessly and partial dentures fitted to top and bottom jaw . All this done in a swift 20 minutes and I have a smile 😃 . Many many thanks for your superb professionalism to Dr Lee and her dental nurse for outstanding work ! Well done , it was hard to say thank you properly with a numb mouth , you are all stars ⭐️ . One extremely satisfied client 👍👍👍

Great dentists .. my children have been going there for a few years and are happy with the services rendered .

The Terrace Dental Centre

123 High St, Newmarket CB8 9AE, UK – 01638 669487

Excellent practice, highly professional dentists and very helpful reception staff! I'm actually based in Bury St Edmunds but come to New Market to see Dr Olaf Neumann because of his exceptional skills, especially for difficult jobs like root canals etc. The Terrance Dental practice is also very accommodating, I had lost filling on my front tooth and been able to see someone to fix it on same day, which was great relief.

Great treatment . My new crown was fitted easily and with no pain or injection! The temporary crown also worked well for 2 + weeks - no pain and stayed in place. I could not have been more pleased. Sonal is a brilliant dentist who has looked after me well for may years now.

Great charity shop with real bargains to be had. It sell everything and anything. Staff are great too . I always have a look when in Newmarket ;0)

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Newmarket

Thai Street Cafe

26-28 High St, Newmarket CB8 8LB, UK – 01638 674123

Tasty, good food. I would prefer it a little spicier but still good.

Best Thai place around and reasonably priced. Check out their lunch menu, it's delicious

El Guaca Mexican Grill

4 Exeter Rd, Newmarket CB8 8LT, UK – 01638 665345

Very friendly staff, every meal fresh ,hot and very tasty! Kids meals are very cheap and they loved it! Like makes your own wrap. Soft drinks and cocktails superb! Recommended for everyone. Good restaurant.

Something different to have for dinner. The staff are friendly and the service is good. I would not recommend having anything on a hot skillet. As they come out so hot the food is burnt before you get to it. But I would recommend the churros for dessert and trying their guacamole. Not value for money but the experience is good and the food is OK.

29 High St, Newmarket CB8 8LX, UK – 01638 667584

Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Lasagna was tasty well presented. Sauce was pretty thin on the baked carabonara, but it was otherwise done well and the taste was good. I did mention it to the server and the pasta was unexpectedly comped. Overall, I'd recommend Wildwood as a moderately priced Italian restaurant here in Newmarket.

The good: Great atmosphere with chic decorations, seating was comfortable. Our mains were delectable, absolutely zero complaints. The Wildwood sundae (pictured) was just the right size to cap off the meal. The not-so-good: Service was awfully slow. We must have waited for 15 minutes before we even got our drink order taken. The crab bruschetta was £6.85 and essentially was tuna on toast. Definitely overpriced for what it was. Will try going back when it's not so busy.
